The Memorial Sailing Trophy is named in honour of the late Capt. Hector Waller RAN, DSO and bar.

Dining In for senior RAN officers.

Members and their partners, of the Navy League (WA Div.) and the HMAS Perth (I) Memorial Foundation took great pleasure in Dining In newly appointed officers to posts at HMAS Stirling.  They were CAPT. Ben Burleigh RAN, CO of HMAS Stirling, CDRE. Tom Phillips RAN, Commander Submarine Force and CMDR Jorge KcKee RAN CO HMAS Perth.  The dinner was held at the Swan Yacht Club on the 16 of August.

The HMAS Perth (I) Memorial Foundation and the Navy League (WA Div) at Maritime Day

The display put on by the Foundation and the Navy League attracted a lot of attention.
HMAS Toowomba, a sister ship to HMAS Perth (III) was alongside to take on visitors.
Volunteers, from the left, CMD Jim O’Neill, James Maughmer, Mike Bailey and Mike Honer were ‘on deck’ for the duration of the event.

Stage one of the Memorial competed with the installation of the half scale HMAS Perth (I) propeller.

Haden Cobb from Veem, the company that manufactured the propeller, does the final tightening of the securing nut.
David Green from the HMAS Perth (I) Memorial Foundation and Hade Cobb from Veem, do the final polish of the half-size replica of the 1930 Admiralty Patten propeller.
All done! the propeller is finally installed on the compas rose.
